Managing Member - Texas
Darryl L. Houston is the Managing Member of Darryl L. Houston, CPA PLLC. He began his career in January 2015 at Deloitte Tax, LLP in Detroit, Michigan where he focused on Individual, Trusts, Estates, and Gift Tax return preparation and consultation services for high net-worth individuals. In 2017, Darryl decided to take a position at a small local firm in Austin, TX to gain a better understanding of the needs of small to mid-sized businesses. In 2018, he joined RSM US, LLP and focused on Partnership and S Corporation entities in the Real Estate, Construction, and Professional Services industries. Through his diverse experience, Darryl felt confident that it was time to launch his own practice in the Austin Metropolitan Area. On January 1, 2020, Darryl L. Houston, CPA PLLC was formed. In his spare time, Darryl serves on several non-profit boards including the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Board for Falcon Pointe in the City of Pflugerville, and formerly on the Finance and Budget Committee for the City of Pflugerville.
Amor Appel
Bookkeeper - Michigan
Amor joined Darryl L. Houston, CPA PLLC in 2019. Bringing 5 years of customer service to the firm, Amor enjoys working as a member of our Accounting and Client Services Teams. With a strong attention to detail, Amor works on a variety of projects at the firm including payroll as well as Quickbooks and Xero bookkeeping with our Accounting Services Clients. In her spare time, she enjoys giving back in her local community and volunteering with the Philippine American Cultural Center of Michigan. Amor is an avid pet lover, with two dogs: Ruger and Remi.
